As we grow, we’re looking to expand our electrical team with a licensed Journeyman Electrician who shares our values of professionalism, safety, technical excellence, and integrity.
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems. This includes service work on motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), control panels, conduit and wiring systems, and electrical components of air compressors, dryers, and process equipment. This if a field and shop-based role, ideal for an individual who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and making a measurable impact for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including:
- Motors, starters, contactors, control panels, and power distribution
- Variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters
- Industrial wiring, conduit bending, and panel building
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Perform service work on air compressors, process equipment, and related systems
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and North Dakota electrical licensing standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and time tracking
- Collaborate with project managers, field service technicians, and customers to ensure safe, on-time job completion
- Follow all company and job site safety protocols and PPE requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Per ND Guidelines):
- Valid North Dakota Journeyman Electrician License
- At least 8,000 hours of experience (no less than 3 years as a registered apprentice)
- Completion of an approved Apprentice Training Program
- Minimum of 8 hours of continuing education
- Successful completon of the North Dakota Journeyman Electrician Exam
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industrial environments (manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.)
- Familiarity with compressed air systems or process equipment is a plus
- Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable using time tracking tools and schematics
